About
A training home in Dinwiddie
144 BJJ is a family-owned, veteran-owned academy built for beginners, kids, wrestlers, and families who want careful coaching and long-term culture — not fight-gym theater.
Who we are
Why we train this way
Why “144”
Our name comes from Psalm 144:1. Strength under discipline — an identity signal, not a barrier. Everyone who wants to train is welcome.
How we coach
Beginners are coached carefully. Kids are known. Dinwiddie Wrestling Club trains year-round. We care more about who shows up next month than a viral highlight.

Blessed be the Lord my Rock,
Who trains my hands for war,
And my fingers for battle—

Small-town academy · Kids, adults, and families
Dinwiddie is a small town, and 144 BJJ is built that way on purpose. You train with your neighbors — parents, kids, shift workers, and folks who actually live here. It is a genuine community, not a drop-in crowd.
